Special Lecture Ring Report

- Ring Report submitted by Dennis Chan -

On Thursday, December 16 2021, the members of the Vancouver Magic Circle were presented with an early “Christmas treat” : a lecture by Michael Ammar. Many thanks to Graham Kita for contacting Michael in making this lecture possible. The lecture was done via Zoom.

Michael opened his lecture with a coins across routine and he also showed some coin techniques and moves. He did another money magic effect by using a U.S. one dollar bill that changed into a mis -made one dollar bill. He showed the bill back and front in such a way to prove that his hands were “empty” all the time. It was a very convincing method. He also showed how to fold the bill. He performed some rubber band magic and he demonstrated some rubber band techniques. Other effects included Cannibal Kings which was a card effect, linking rings using five rings, and a silk passing through a solid bar. He explained all of his effects in great detail.

The members enjoyed Michael’s great informative and entertaining lecture. Michael mentioned that he likes lecturing for Vancouver audiences and was happy that he was invited back to do another lecture.

After the lecture, there was a chat session amongst the members. Another treat. Rod got permission to replay the lecture two days later for those who missed it. Thanks Rod. There were 30 participants in attendance.
